Orduno Entrepreneur Quote

You're a woman with a lot of passions and you want to turn them all into successful businesses. I salute you because, like Caitlin Orduno, this is my goal, too, and I want to encourage you by saying that you can do it, but you need to get out of your own way first.

The question then becomes, how do I get out of my own way?

3 Things You Need to be a Multipassionate Entrepreneur and Finally Get Out of Your Own Way

While the answer may seem easy to read, it may be challenging to implement but that won’t stop me from sharing it with you today.

Understand that you need to get clear on what you want and then create a plan for how you're going to get there. Then, like any good creative professional, you need to follow your plan and execute it with discipline and balance.

Here's how to exercise the discipline and balance necessary to make your multipassionate dreams a reality.

You need to be clear about your priorities.

What is the main focus of your business? What are your values? When you know what you stand for, it's easier to make decisions—even tough ones—about where to allocate your time and resources. Trying to do everything at once will only lead to burnout, so be clear about your priorities from the outset.

If you're clear about what's most important to you, you can more easily say "no" to distractions and focus on what will help you achieve your goals. Prioritizing can also help you manage stress and anxiety because you'll know that you're spending your time and energy in the way that best supports your overall wellbeing.

By taking the time to figure out what's most important to you, you can then create a plan to make sure that those things are given the attention they deserve. This can help you avoid feeling overwhelmed or scattered and can help you focus on what's truly important in your life.

You need to be organized.

As a multipassionate entrepreneur, you'll be wearing a lot of hats and juggling a lot of balls. The key to not dropping any is staying organized.

The biggest obstacle you'll face is yourself. You have to be your own biggest cheerleader and motivator. Get out of your own way by staying focused and organized.

This means having a clear idea of what needs to be done and when, and then mapping out a plan to get it all done. Time management tools like AirTable or Nifty can help you stay on top of things and avoid overwhelm.

The best way to stay organized is to have a plan and stick to it. Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals to keep yourself on track. If you have someone to help you, don't be afraid to delegate tasks and put systems in place to help you manage your time effectively.

You need to be disciplined.

When you're working on multiple businesses at once, there's always something that can tempt you away from work—whether it's social media, Netflix, or just taking a break in general. When it comes to work, it's important to have the discipline to stay focused and not get sidetracked.

Set boundaries for yourself and stick to them. Turn off notifications, set a timer, and put your phone away so you can focus on the task at hand. This will help you be more productive and efficient in your work.

Additionally, it's important to take breaks when you need them so that you can come back ready to focus again. When we take breaks, it allows our minds to rest and recharge. This is important because it helps us come back to our work refreshed and with new energy. It also allows us to take some time to reflect on what we've done and how we can improve.

If you're like me and you primarily work in front of your computer screen or mobile devices, your breaks may involve leaving all of your tech devices behind.

Take a 10-15 minute walk, get some fresh air, cook something - basically doing anything that does not involve technology - so that it gives your eyes a break and your mind can effectively disconnect for a moment.

Trust me, I have to do this several times a day and it really helps prevent burnout and procrastination!

Conclusion

It's absolutely possible for you to be a successful multipassionate entrepreneur—but only if you get out of your own way first and check your habits. By being clear about your priorities, staying organized, and exercising discipline, you'll set yourself up for success in all of your endeavors. With these three things in mind, you will be well on your way to success.
